About Mia (she/her):
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) (#25418) with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.
I offer support to adults of all ages with (but not limited to):
Grief and loss
Eating disorders, disordered eating (must be medically stable), and food behaviours
Body image
Anxiety
Depression
Life transitions
Trauma
My background includes:
- Extensive experience as a clinical nutritionist with a focus on eating disorder recovery
- Liaising with health care and school professionals, advocating for clients
My certifications include:
- ADHD Certified Clinical Service Provider
- Advanced Grief Counselling Certification
- Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) Level 1
I use an integrative therapeutic framework, blending:
- Narrative Therapy
- Internal Family Systems (IFS)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
- Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT)
- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
