Starting September 2025!
We offer low cost counselling sessions facilitated by graduate students who are completing their Master’s degrees in Counselling Psychology, under the supervision of experienced professionals. Sessions are available for adults (18+).
The cost for these sessions is $50. The sessions are held in-person at our Oak Bay Psychology office at 202, 2186 Oak Bay Avenue in Victoria, BC or online across British Columbia.
To get started, book online or fill out the form below.
Learn more about out students on the Meet Our Team page (scroll to the bottom).
Please note: Due to a system error between October 10 and 14, we may not have received your inquiry if sent between these dates. We sincerely apologize. Please fill out the form below again or contact us at 250-507-8353 or contact@fairfieldpsychology.com to reach us directly.
Our Practicum Students are enrolled in graduate-level programs that focus on learning generalized counselling skills and not providing specialized treatment. If your challenges exceed their competency, we may reach out with a suggested referral to another practitioner.
The Benefits of Low Cost Counselling for Mental Health
Low cost counselling offers several important benefits for helping mental health.
First, it makes mental health support accessible to more people, especially those with limited financial resources. This accessibility encourages individuals to seek help with less fear of costs.
Low cost counselling at our offices often includes options like group therapy and workshops, allowing clients to find the right fit for their needs.
It also reduces the financial burden on families, making it easier for them to prioritize mental health care.
Additionally, low-cost services can lead to early intervention, helping prevent more serious mental health issues down the line. This supports both individuals and their families or loved ones.
Note: While we will issue a receipt after we receive payment, most insurance companies do not support reimbursement of student counselling services unfortunately. Please check directly with your benefits provider to inquire.
